Lpa wont let u cancel unless you pay R18000
In 2016 we were called to collect a free voucher and when we got to the offices they did a presentation and they force you into taking a contract..So we signed on thinking we could make use the holiday, but we couldnt even do that. They give u times and places according to their dates and availability which didnt suit us at all. Now after 2 years of paying on time I wanted to cancel the contract as im not receiving an income anymore and i cannot afford to pay so much for something we dont even use. So i stopped the debit and emailed LPA to cancel my contract. In the meantime im been hounded by Green Flash debt collectors to pay the 3 months instalment that i have not payed for. I mentioned to them all the time that im trying to get LPA to cancel my contract because i cant afford it, they too dont care if you can afford it or not. All they want is their money. So after sending all the documentation they requested, they cannot waiver the cancellation fee. So i asked how much was that, to which they rep**** R18000. Now i mean really who in their right mind will pay that amount to cancel a contract. You people are just greedy and dont want to assist clients in any way that are having financial difficulty. We cannot forsee that this will happen. And im sure with our economy alot of people are going through this.Ive never been put through this by any organization. Ive never been blacklisted always pay bills on time. But this company is just bullying us into paying for things we dont even use. Now i want my contract cancelled. I cannot afford your cancellation fee and monthly instalments. Where do you expect me to get the money from if i dont get an income. And please get your debt collectors to stop threatning me that they will blacklist me.

Due to the nature of your lease agreement and seeing as you have requested to cancel your agreement within 6 months of signing a 15 year holiday agreement, an early termination penalty fee was provided (as per clause 13 of your agreement).
We do not wish for clients to simply pay a cancellation fee and receive nothing in return. I do see our records show the LPA agent did also offer you two other retention options to assist you with your query, where you would benefit and still receive something for all monies paid.
Because you claimed financial difficulty 5 months into your agreement, another option to make the package more affordable was also offered. Please let us know if you would like to take us up on this offer.
If however, you feel you simply aren't satisfied with the product, and simply want to exit your agreement prematurely, a cancellation fee is unfortunately applicable.
One of our agents will, however, be in touch with you again to take you through some of the options telephonically.
