LPA horrible experience.

In 2021, we received a call where LPA wanted to give us their presentation and offer us a free holiday. We went there and we didn't like the 15 years contract they offered.

In the beginning of 2023 (January to be exact) we received the same call and we were happy to attend the presentation just to learn if there are any changes seeing that we enjoyed the free holiday they provided us.

Firstly their presentation were all late and were not recorded. I know this should've been a red flag however based on our experience, we were happy to attend. We were allocated to this guy who gave a presentation to us. He advise that they are now offering a SUBSCRIPTION like DSTV and can be cancelled any time. The offer was great and since we wanted to start making family memories by having these holiday, we were happy to accept the subscription fee and we paid R1.4k immediately so we are able to qualify for the offer since it was a 1 time offer.

Prior signing and paying, suddenly someone came and told us they will be recording or witnessing the signing of the contract. We were happy and seeing our wish as a family becoming a possibility. We paid for 7 straight months without fail and our fee was just above R1k meaning we have already paid over R7k.

Just after we booked for our next holiday, we started struggling financially and we openly contacted LPA to give us some payment arrangement so we continue to pay however we were suddenly told we signed a CONTRACT and that it was never a subscription anymore.

A person by the name of Bianca was dealing our case and she was only interested in us paying. We were told that if we need to cancel, we must pay R6k and if we still want to use the booking we must pay close to R17k in total.

Our intention to create great memories as a family become a nightmare and almost ruined my relationship with my partner. We asked to Speak to the manager however we received the same experience as what Bianca gave us.

I asked that that since I will not be using their services anymore, they must refund me my R7k because this is not a loan or credit of some sort but it's a Subscription however the manager told me that that was never gonna happened and that if I don't pay by a certain date I will forfeit my money and the booking and they still expect me to pay R6k cancelation fee or serve 6 month notice while paying the R1k I was paying.

LPA is not a service provider however it's just a **** in my experience and I believe that this is how they provide free holidays to people and still make money. I lost memory creation with family and also R7k and I am now been handed over to debt collectors.

If anyone is in a position to assist us on how to deal this matter please assist and if there is anyone who wishes to join LPA, please be warned. They are not want they claim to be. My family and I were looking forward to this holiday however that has been taken away by a company we trusted had our best interest at heart.
