LPA- Do Not Be Fooled By Them

Please do not be fooled into signing with LPA, they are dishonest and manipulate the agreement to suit them. We signed a contract which said we have to pay by 01 April every year, just below it, it states 3 months prior to occupation. I also received an email at the beginning of April this year stating I have to pay 3 months prior to occupation. Our time period is from 09 August for a week. Unfortunately at the time of signing we did not pick up the conflicting dates for payment due to us having such issues with the sales person and him not being able to calculate the values correctly. I was then charged R467.61 end of April due to my late payment, late payment as per LPA. I advised that we had 3 months to pay but it was like talking to a wall. I have also asked how do they penalize R467.61 if the annual amount was just over R4000.00. No response to that either. I was also asked why I did not pay on time this year and I explained however I could have **** and made up all sorts of stories, lockdown, financials due to lockdown etc but I was honest in my reasons. I was also told that Management would most probably not consider waivering the penalty amount as He dealt with queries like my one on a regular basis, that shows that they intentionally cause confusion and then tell the customer they are confused. I was also told that i cannot count April when I asked why we had to pay 4 months in advance. As I have said our date was August. I was then told that April cannot be included when I calculate the months as it is 01 April and they work on calendar months. It is the first time I have heard of the first not being included when calculating a calendar month. The contract and the email I received does not refer to calendar month, it only states 3 months before occupation. We have had continual problems since signing with this company. We were also told we can exchange to overseas options. I requested last year about August for the option of Scotland this year April as an exchange as I banked last year. I continually had to follow up and was told nothing available. I complained and eventually received a call to say they had a week for me but it was not the dates we requested. Who is going to change their whole overseas holiday because they could not get the dates right?? I still don't believe that anything was available that incorrect week, it was more to say they did their part. I have been trying to bank this year, I have sent 3 emails to date with no response as to why i cannot bank. I take it that LPA is paying all their staff in full, even cleaners, gardeners etc as they are demanding full payment from people for 2019. All i want to say, think very carefully, go through the agreement very carefully, if you opt to use LPA. I am not saying all timeshare companies are bad.
