*********** systems! *********** Employees!

My husband received a call from an LPA consultant named Anthony, telling him that they are giving him and his family a free holiday voucher fr 5 days. All he had to do was come down to their office in Bryanston to collect it. We had already received a voucher from a company approximately 5 months prior but weren't sure if it is the same company, but we knew what was involved in these so called 'FREE' voucher deals. The consultant kept on persistently calling and sending messages with directions to ensure that we do come through on the said date.

On Thursday 6-09-2018 my husband and I made it to their offices. Upon arrival we realised it was the same company that had called months ago and presented something to us and gave a voucher. We assumed this was another one and we were asked to fill in form with all of our personal details. This form was handed over to the receptionist who seemed to be capturing the information on their system.

A lady gave us a presentation similar to the one we had heard when we first came there months ago and said there after she is going to give us our voucher for the free holiday...She did not once ask us if we had ever been there before or heard about LPA before. She did ask us if we had a travel club and we rep**** with a yes and explained to her how ours worked. After what seemed like 40 minutes we were done and she asked if we were interested in purchasing the deal. We explained to her that even though her deal offers more than the deal we have with our current Travel Club, it will be financially impossible for us to afford it as ours is a lifetime contract. She said she understood and went to go fetch the voucher.

She came back after 5 minutes and asked us to come to reception. At reception the assistant manager (an Indian lady) was standing with the receptionist and another gentlemen. They asked us if we had been here before and we said yes. They asked if we had received a voucher before and we said yes, in April. The receptionist then rep**** that their system cannot give us a voucher because it says a voucher was given within the last 6 months. We asked what does that mean and she told us that the system can't issue a voucher if it picks up that we had received one within the last six months.

I then proceeded to ask her why then did they call us? Doesn't their system let them know if someone they have on their database has been called/ or received a voucher already in the last six months? At this point I was very angry because I had left my kids with the nanny to go listen to a stupid presentation, used my time and petrol to travel to Bryanston in the evening only to be told the system can't issue a voucher.

1. Why doesn't the system pick up before that someone has/hasn't been contacted for this stupid presentation?! 2.When you collect information on arrival at the office, why doesn't the system pick up AT THAT TIME if people have/haven't been there or have/haven't received a voucher?!

When I asked the assistant manager what must happen, she gave me a blank look and said she will look into it and get back to me. It's been a week, surely it doesn't take that long to look into something and contact us?

Good day Mrs Mashile,

Apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

Your details have been removed from the telemarketers database.

In the mean time feel free to contact OYG if you have not yet used your first voucher so the consultant can assist accordingly.

Please do not hesitate to contact head office directly if you have any questions in future- ***.

Kind regards

LPA team

I received a guest certificate from OYG after my initial post about LPA. I then realised a week before the check in date that I will no longer be available to take up the voucher. I called in and requested a transfer of the gift certificate to my mother but the consultant refused and said it cannot be done. I asked her where in the terms and conditions it states that and she rep**** "Please bear in mind that we did do this manually so the terms and conditions does not count on the confirmation letter to assist with the booking for you, the terms and conditions remains the same as you accepted it on the voucher website, it will not change." Instead on the terms on condition of the certificate it states "5. In the event that the Member wishes to transfer usage of this confirmed booking to another person, then and in such an event, the Member must obtain a Guest Certificate from VRS, failing which access to the Resort will be denied." I cannot find anywhere, even on the website where it says I CANNOT transfer to someone else. As usual, OYG tricking people and never keep their promises. I have to forfeit the voucher just because I cannot transfer it or I cannot attend. Will never recommend anyone to use this service. #***** #********
