Beware of LPA

<p>I kept on receiving calls from a company called LPA or QVC telling me that they are giving me and my family a free holiday at one of their resorts nationwide. There was no catch they would say that i simply have to tell them when i am coming to pick up the free holiday voucher and that i have to bring my partner with. After receiving quit a few calls and not going to fetch the voucher, I decided to go. When i got there they said this is the lady that is going to give me a presentation and there after she is going to give us our voucher for the free holiday. They give you a presetation of about 15 minutes about their resorts and what they offer. They then practically force you to purchase one of their packages. The more you say no the more the price of the package comes down. They practically trick you into buying one of their timeshare packages. Believe me when i say they do not let anyone go out of their offices without buying one of their packages. They also tell you that you can cancel it at anytime.</p> <p>They make you buy one of their packeges and then they give you a little presentation to make you feel so important and then they give you the voucher for the free holiday, but little do you know that the voucher has so many conditions. You only find out about all the condition when you actually want to make use of the free holiday. You simply end up not using that voucher. After paying for about 6 months for this LPA I lost my mom and i found myself in financial difficulty. I had to see to my sister and my own family. I approached LPA and explained my situation and wanted them to cancel this LPA account. Because i could no longer afford it and i did not even use it. I was asked by LPA to submit all my financial documents to proof to them that i could not afford this LPA account. I did send them all my financial documents. Its now been almost 2 years that i am still struggling with them to cancel and in the meantime i am receiving threatening emails from their debt collectors saying that they are going to take legal action against me and that they are going to blacklist my name and that they are going to attach my assets and sell them.</p> <p>They trick people into debt and they dont stop and care how they are ruining peoples lifes.</p> <p>Now if you want to cancel even if you did not use their resort they tell you that you still have to pay that full amount that you are owing them and the account will be cancelled. So they ***** people you still have to pay them the money but dont get to use the resorts.</p> <p>I am really tired of these businesses that ***** us hard working people into debt and then they want to threaten you with legal action and still tell you that you will be liable for the legal cost also when you have proved to them that you cannot afford their timeshare at all.</p> <p>I am stressed and just want to cancel this LPA account.</p>
