As soon as you’ve paid they are not interested....

I had my swimming pool installed in August 2015 and made the payments as outlined in the contract with the final payment being on the day of installation, 20th August 2015.There was a snag list of outstanding items that they were supposed to come back and fix. These included: problems with the pool pump timer and light timer, leaks, chips in the pool gel coating, bad and unsupervised installation – paving had to be redone and the lack of proper drainage caused flooding in my back garden (which resulted in water damage to my kitchen cupboards), water pipes that were not placed underground, and most of all I have not received the electrical compliance certificate (hardly surprising as the pool pump does not function properly!!). The last time they came out was in December 2016 and the problems were still not resolved. I was given the name of Nico Mathe who is working at Penguin Pool as they are supposedly working together and in December he said to me “ïf you are on their list then they will do it”. I sent text messages to Lourie on 16th and 18th January 2017 and then emailed both Leisure Pools and Penguin Pools again on 1st March 2017 to which I am still waiting for a response.

My neighbours complain about the pump continually turning on and off and I can understand their annoyance. The new eco pump system that was supposed to make our life easier has caused more frustration that it is worth! We are supposed to be enjoying the pool but each time we look at it we are reminded of all the stress that it has caused us. What can one do about the total lack of after sales service?!!
