Bad service received.

2019-12-18 at about 08:07 I arrived at Leisure Marine in Midrand to potencially buy a Splash Bass bassing boat that was advertised on their website for R49k.

On arrival, a guy showed another guy to me that should have helped me and he made some suggestions that a person sitting around the corner would help me. So she came out and we spoke about the boat.

When asked about the papers for the boat, she said that everything will be cheched, even the enjin and the trailor bearings along with all paperwork and COF be done and and and. So I asked her what the price is, she said that she thinks the owner dropped the price on this boat. The went in and came back and told me that it is R59k and that the owner dropped it from R69k. I asked her why it is then that the boat is on their website for R49k. She then said that she knows nothing about it and I had to show her on my phone that what I say is true.

Suddenly everything changed. No checks and no paperwork and it is sold voetstoots as is and everything else now suddenly needs to be done and paid seperately.

I asked her why but it was as if the boat suddenly had a very bad illness.

She did not appreciate it at all that I did some homework before visiting them.

I told her that the way that they do business sucks and walked off.

I then phoned and spoke to the owner who immediately started telling me that all people make mistakes. I explained to him what happened and he made it off as standard industry process to have things checked and paid for when a boat is bought. To that I can agree. But I was told by his employee told me all will be done and then turned around and said it is seperate.

I will never refer anybody to Leisure Marine as my experience told me that they are slick and *************. That being the best words I can think of. Not the most descriptive. Bad shop.
