Leisure Bay apartments Capetown - No deposit refund after almost 2 months

I have checked into this accommodation on my business trip from 30th June to 03rd July 2026. The host requested a R1000 breakage deposit to be returned to our bank account within 14 days of checking out (Should have been 17th July). To date I am still fighting to get my deposit back and the correspondence is they have a backlog paying customers deposits, my ticket number (ticket number 8685 due to the current backlog).

I don't believe this is fair treatment to patrons, as the host would not allow you onto the property without proof of the R1000 deposit.
