Why can't I get my refund

<p> I went to the legit store at fourways mall today with my proof of purchase, I was told I cannot get my CASH refund only a gift card. Which I also did not receive because the manager wasn't in store to authorise. I been a fan and a loyal customer of LEGIT,however from now onwards I will not be purchasing any items from this retail outlets, the staff is unhelpful amd the return policies are ridiculous and against consumer acts right to return an item they not satisfied with. i have worked in the retail industry as well and to my knowledge if the consumer demands a cash refund you must give it to them in terms of act 56, the consumer, not the supplier has the election on whether to chose the refund, replacement or repair.</p>
