unreasonable rules with the worst of attitudes!

I went to buy a white top at the Legit on 03.10.2015. I was told I cannot fit the top because people leave makeup on the tops, told them I don't wear makeup, they still refused . the manager Motshabi/ Mothabi told me I can buy it first then fit after. I find it very unfair, a lot of shops sell white clothes and people are allowed to fit. makeup stains can be on any colour item not only white . I ended up taking 2 tops so I can fit at home, now I must drive back to the mall and return the other top, this is a costly and tiring exercise for me. I asked them if they would take the top back if I stained with makeup while fitting at home and they said yes, I couldn't understand why I can't fit the top in this case. I have never heard of any proper store with such rules , They cannot be treating customers like this. I logged a complaint with Edcon head office on the Saturday and they called me on the 05.10.2015 and sent me an email with reference number ***/GO and said they will escalate this to the store management. I followed up and called edcon yesterday and spoke to Tshepiso who promised to call me back.
