Complaint against Legit Malelane

I bought shoes at legit vaderbiljpark in october 2018 and I went to legit Malelane to exchange them after 2 days and they told me that I must go back to Vanderbiljpark to exchange them. And now I'm still here at this side of Malelane, I'll only go back to Vanderbiljpark in January, and their return policy says you can only exchange goods in 30 days period. All I want to know is that they say you can exchange goods anywhere at any of their stores, so how come now this store is telling me I must go back where I bought the shoes. And it will be too late for me to exchange the shoes as it will be more than a month.
