POOR SERVICE and UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF
LEGENDS MAPONYA MALL:STAFF ATTITUDE and DISRESPECT TOWARDS CLIENTS
So my son woke up early in the chilling Sunday morning of the 23/05/2021 to go get his hair done. The barber coloured male did the haircut and my son had shown him a picture of the style he wanted , after everything my son then told the guy he’s not happy with the look and cut as it’s not according to his expectation, barber then told him the cut it’s fine together with his colleagues.
He was put under so much pressure that he ended up leaving with the cut he didn’t initially wanted. When he got home he told me he is not happy and me too I saw that was not the hair cut on the picture and what I always see on people. I went as far as asking him if he really went to Legends(me now doubting my son something I do not like) Seeing my son’s unhappiness , I decided we visit the branch again, it was around 12 and I had seen they close at 1. So we luckily made it on time and as I got to the shop I was asked what am I there for, then I told the male coloured at the reception counter, while still explaining there is this guy who was busy with another client who came straight up to me and stood just in my face, by this time I could pick up he is the one who did all this mess. So he was there arguing with me that the hairstyle is fine, then I pull off my not so good side based on his approach and I told him as a client I say it’s not and I am demanding you to fix it. He then walked out on me while I was talking and responding with so much attitude that he will fix the hair and the sound of his voice made other clients and his colleagues to look back at the counter to see my reaction and I felt so belittled, disappointed and disrespected.
Then we were told to wait for him to finish off the client he was busy with. We waited for about 30-40 minutes, and during this time he took in another client and I never reacted just waited for our turn.
Another male coloured also told one of his colleagues another coloured who was sweeping the floor while 2 others were just sitting doing nothing including a lady. But I thought to myself that’s how Legends work, Whilst waiting we were labelled, called all these names and making jokes amongst each other about my son and I. So he eventually came then he says to me, what should I do to this momma’s baby... sarcasm thrown at us again. I told him to fix the haircut and he asked to see a pic, my son showed him then he was mumbling and gossiping with his colleague(the one who messed up) at one point before he could touch the hair.
He fixed it and I was happy and could see my son’s relieve and the satisfaction that he got what he requested for. As we were about to leave the guy said to me unfortunately we don’t have MAGIC here, so I asked what are u implying he then said for the hair to look black like the one on the pic. I was so angry and confused at same time so I realised they are still not acknowledging their mistake. I told him I wasted our time and money and you must know I’m really disappointed by your actions. He didn’t even CARE you could just see he was just saying in his mind I SAID WHAT I SAID. He also mentioned that the hair is just a R120 so meaning it would have made sense if I was complaining about a haircut for a HIGHER AMOUNT. My first experience and the WORST.
And just to add on, while we were made to wait outside there was a customer who was so angry and dissatisfied about their SERVICE he got there around 12:30 or so and he was told they are no longer taking clients and he asked aren’t you closing at 13:00 they said yes but we not taking more clients, that time there were 2 people just sitting. The guy whom is Zulu speaking said he want to come one day and smack all of them for their I’ll-treatment it seemed this was not the first he was treated bad by the staff there at LEGENDS MAPONYA MALL.
Management should take action ASAP as you will lose business. People should be treated with respect and dignity irrespective of how much they spending. I hope this reaches so many eyes and it’s put to a STOP.
