My brother passed away on the 9 May 2026 and legatus Trust drafted a will for him in 2015 and updated the will in 2019 we struggled to bury my brother as per his wishes outlined on the will we were told by Thokozani that it is just a wish not a BE quest yet they failed to elaborate the two to my brother, now we are holding on to my brothers car awaiting legatus to come to us regarding my brother's estate, Thokozani sent an email instructing my brother to give my brothers son the car I called Thokozani asking him why should he do that as we are awaiting my for them to apply for the letter of Authority so how can they distribute my brothers assets before the letter is granted and on the 2019 will my brother has nominated his brother to be the legal guardian to his son if he hasn't turned 25 years but legatus is busy sidelining my brother listening to people who don't appear on the will and the ex wife to my brother even when they have the divorce decree shared with them Thokozani requested that we take my brothers vehicle to a second hand dealership for valuation I personally said I will take my brother and take the vehicle for the evaluation and fill the documents he sent to my brother but within minutes Thokozani renounced himself instead of a communication from legatus to tell us if it's only Thokozani who is renounce from the case van vuuren is now busy sending emails for the car to be given to kids I asked Thokozani if he explained to them not to utilize the vehicle until the process is done he said no but he will send them an email to tell them, my question is if they are sidelining my brother who the letter of Authority or executership should be granted on his name since the heir is not yet 25 years old who are they going to apply the letter of Authority to and if they are deaming the 2019 will null cause of the ex wife has 2015 will on what grounds are they doing so why is legatus trust failing my brother what we're they given which my brother is not offering, I'm also going to write to law society as the way they are handling things I don't believe it's the lawful way

Very slow service from the provider. Will no recommend them to others. 3 years and estate not finalized. For the last year the consultant keeps stating she will finalize in a month... Still waiting. Really ridiculous service.

My husband passed away in 2019. Up to date his estate is still not registered at the master of the high court. Every time I phone or whatsup or email I get the same answer. I will follow up and get back to you. 6 years and 7 months later. Still no answers. The only thing in the estate is my late husband's vehicle for which I need an executors letter to request the natis documents from Standard Bank. I even emailed the Legatus Trust office in Pretoria. Still nothing. I can't get a licence disc for the vehicle. My daughter is using it to work and home. And if something happens to her there is nothing I can do. I cant insure the vehicle or re sell it. All of this due to 'lack of interest in helping me. I need answers. I will even go as far keeping Legatus trus liable for the licence fees. And believe me. I do have Legal assistance

What a waste of time! I too wish I could give them 0 stars. Nothing happens without constant phone calls and emails - you have to keep on top of the late estate, failing which, nothing will happen. Both my mother and I have our wills at Legatus - my mother has passed away - I am taking my will away from them as I do not want to put my family through this fiasco trying to finalize my estate.
