Disappointed is an understatement

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I was excited to book a trip for hubby , they said to book for 4 people so that we can go out as they didn't have bookings . We decided to make it a family trip .

The owner advised that evening before it will be raining so we should bring jackets . Which we did , never did they say the conditions would not be suitable for kids . After only about an hour and a half out the kids were petrified as we were deep out and the conditions were anything but a bliss . We made the call to return to s**** .

We paid R7600 and we only offered a mere compensation on a next charter of R950 . I honestly wish we were advised against taking the kids out by the people that knows seas and weather better than anyone else, if the captain was even saying how rough conditions were and they didn't know how long we would be able to be out there , then you can imagine how bad it was and for kids of 6 and 9 it was a nightmare.

I would still have paid the R7600 but then atleast my husband could have had a full day of fishing and not just an hour and a half .

My husband was out the week before with ocean commotion and the seas were not rough like that .

The captain (Sky) and deckhand were great and kept reassuring the kids , very nice guys . But the rest is definitely a big disappointment.

*Add on * as I can't reply to the owners response , the team not once told us it would be rough waters!!!! Just that we expecting rain . Even the guy that did the launch said the seas are flat so it's a perfect day to take kids out and it was anything but perfect. My seasickness was the least of my concern , I would have sat with my bucket all day vomiting but how bad of a mom would I be to do that with screaming and crying kids . If ANYONE said it would be rough I would NEVER have taken my kids and would have sent my husband on his own ! But for a place to not take ownership when they wrong and try shift the blame on a client puts a bitter taste on my mouth ! Disgusting!
