What service?

I have been a member of Legalwise since 01/05/2007 and I have decided to cancel my policy with them today. My partner resigned from his employer on 15/04/17 and was asked to leave the company the following day. He was promised that his leave and notice pay would be paid to him at the end of the following month. They short paid his leave with R9 313-54 and this matter was taken to Legalwise. From the first meeting with the Legalwise counsellor on 04/05/17 it has been a struggle to get any type of feedback from them. He was referred to an attorney on 14/07/17 only after a complaint was lodged with Legalwise on 10/07/17 (service query number 20240). No feedback was received from the attorney either. After leaving numerous messages to hear what was going on another complaint was lodged with Legalwise on 30/11/17. We finally decided to report our complaint to the Ombud. On 26/01/17 we received our response back from the Ombud and in it, it states that the attorney assessed the matter and was of the view that there are no prospects of success to proceed. We were advised to go to the small claims court. I am so disappointed with the service we received. We could have gone to the CCMA in the first place but the Legalwise counsellor did not advice us of this, in stead they took there time with the matter and now it is too late to go to the CCMA and we have to try and sort this mess out with the small claims court. What am I paying for if Legalwise can't assist with a labour matter?

We have comprehensively rep**** to your query through the appropriate forum.

We have advised of the recourse available in that you may approach the Department of labour, alternatively the Small Claims Court.

Kind Regards

CS.
