UNISA Refuses to refund money
I lodged a claim against UNISA for refusing to refund R15025.00 for my doctoral studies. I have lost 2 years of study because l was not assigned a supervisor since 2024. I could have completed my doctorate this year. Now they demanding l pay balance of R8025 totalling R23050 for no services rendered. I went to LegalWise in November 2025 and still waiting for feedback to date. I need my refund but LegalWise dragging their feet. UNISA is demanding payment of balance despite the fact that l was not assigned a supervisor for 2 consecutive years and never signed a contract. I am extremely disappointed in this bad service as l am still receiving emails from UNISA that should have been handled by LegalWise.

I am very disappointed with the manner in which Ms King is handling this matter. I request someone more competent to handle this matter as UNISA is bullying me. I never signed an agreement with Professor Bakker (they must prove it) or was consulted in that matter of him agreeing to temporarily supervise me - I cannot be forced to work with a supervisor who almost cost me my masters degree - as they are being prescriptive. Ms King is not giving proper attention to my matter. I cannot loose all the money I paid due to UNISAs administrative flaws and negligence. I will go to social media is this matter is not resolved in a favourable manner.

I have mediated and resolved my own matter with UNISA. This matter has dragged on since November 2025 with no proper resolution to date. I honestly do not know why I am paying fees when I end up solving my own issues. Truly disappointed in a service provider that does not deliver. Ms King expected me to help with drafting documents etc so I decided to run with my own case and successfully resolved it. Going forward I cannot have such *********** people handling my cases.
