Legal Wise - Lack of Response

Needed to enlist the services of Legal Aid with a matter that needed sorting. After logging my query I was mailed to advise that I would be contacted within 48 hours. This did not happen, it took a phone call from my side in order to get the ball rolling (more than 48 hours later).

Spoke to an advisor made a plan of action for the information which I was expecting to receive. However on the date it was supposed to be received the advisor was off sick. No notes was left as to the discussion so the next person that picked up the file was not aware. After numerous phone calls from my side I finally got hold of someone, but had to start repeating myself.

Another arrangement made for the same information for the same day. Information was to be received by 12pm that day and if LA had not heard, then another phone call to be placed at 2pm. However during this time no phone call or correspondence from LA just to keep me updated and in the loop (which is very frustrating to a customer).

Finally before days end the long awaited phone call to advise that a new arrangement had been reach and information would be received by 08h15 the following morning.

08h15 the following morning came and went. It is now 1pm the afternoon and still no word from LA despite numerous messages have been left for them. During the course of the morning personally received the update with the information that was requested and have been trying ever since to get hold of LA in order to update them. Emails have even been sent, but no acknowledgement as yet.

Coming from a service environment and working with tight deadlines. It feels if my case is just not of important as others and can be dealt with in between the other big cases. But the lack of communication is just appalling.
