Dumped me with a serious matter

I filed for a divorce since November last year. And it took long to get help. In February they only informed me that they cant find my ex husband meaning the sheriffs did not find him, because I went to them they did not contact me. I had to go by myself to the sheriffs to submit the summons and I had to pay money from my pocket while I am paying legal wise. I had to come back with everything from the sheriff again. Now when the summons from my ex husband came last month. The guy who was helping me just dumped me just like that and told me to go and find a private lawyer. Now I am paying a lawyer and legal wise at the same time. I am really not happy with the service I got from legal wise.
