Don't Call My LAWYER'S , They're IDIOTS !!!
<p>Good Afternoon. I hope that you're well. </p> <p><br />I hope that you're well. I have been a Legal Wise Gold Member for years and haven't claimed ever since I've signed up.</p> <p>I have been unfairly dismissed during February 2016 and approached Legal Wise for assistance / legal representation.</p> <p>I explained my situation to them (the consultant that I was referred to) . The reason I approached them, was because I lost my job so, unfortunately I could not afford the monthly premium.</p> <p>I received an sms on 5 May 2016 reading: <br />" Dear Member benefits under your Legalwise Policy have been suspended. Contact your nearest LegalWise Branch to reinstate benefits & retain your Legal Cover"</p> <p>I went to their nearest branch in Bellville <br />(Tel: ********** <br />Fax: ********** <br ********** <p>on 10 May 2016, to discuss the matter, but was just told that unfortunately my policy has lapsed and they can't represent me any longer but I can reinstate the policy but can only benefit from their services after 3 months but they won't cover any incidents prior to the start of the policy.</p> <p>I asked to speak to a manager, but was just being told that the manager has a meeting scheduled. I basically begged the lady I was speaking to, her surname is Kuiler to call the manager, but the manager did not want to come.</p> <p>I left feeling worse than when I arrived their. Financially my family and I are struggling and busy loosing everything I've worked for and now the policy and organisation that I have been paying for years won't represent me because I couldn't pay them for a couple of months, for obvious reasons.</p> <p>What does a person in my shoes do because you pay them every month for in case something like this happens, but when it happens, they abandon you.</p>

We confirm that it is untrue that LegalWise did not assist you, You were referred to an attorney in February immediately after your dismissal but you failed to consult with the attorney as you now indicate you were too upset to consult.
You subsequently returned to the branch in May, more than two months after prescription of your time to refer the matter to CCMA. We advised you that you should use the same letter to approach an attorney as it was still valid and you again failed to consult an attorney.
It is now 3 months after prescription and you have failed yet again to approach an attorney but opted to go on HelloPeter instead.
You were referred immediately in February because referral to CCMA had to occur within 30 days. LegalWise di not advise you not to see the attorney and you have to take responsibility for not doing so.

We confirm that despite our efforts at referring your matter to an attorney on time you failed to consult with the attorney. You thus failed to give yourself a fighting chance with regards to your dismissal.
