I approached your firm for assistance because I was experiencing ongoing harassment from a third party. I provided all relevant screenshots and context, and I specifically requested that a cease-and-desist letter be issued on my behalf. Your firm did issue that letter.

However, after the third party responded directly to me with a personally written “cease-and-desist” letter and not from a legal representative, I asked my legal counsellor whether this constituted a breach of the original cease-and-desist. Instead of receiving a clear legal explanation, I was told that this was “not a breach” because the individual was “expressing themselves” and was “mourning the loss of their son.”

This response was concerning for several reasons: 1. My legal question was not properly addressed. I asked whether the third party’s direct contact with me violated the intent of your initial letter, and I received an emotional justification instead of a legal evaluation. 2. My concerns and personal situation were minimised. I had informed my legal counsellor that I was also grieving the loss of my mother at the time, yet this was disregarded. The response made me feel that my experiences and feelings were less valid, and that the third party’s grief outweighed my right to representation. 3. I felt unrepresented and unsupported. The tone and content of the reply gave the impression that my concerns were secondary and that the firm was more sympathetic to the third party than to me, the client.

My expectation from legal representation is professional, unbiased, and clear guidance, not comparisons of grief or emotional judgement. I felt that my matter was handled insensitively and without the level of support I believed I would receive. However given the 3rd party response i had asked the matter to be resolved and i sure will not be continuing with legal wise.
