Legal Aid South Africa is the worst
Almost two years now battling to get a court date for a clear simple labour matter from the Bloemfontein office and regardless of countless back and forth emails and complains to the complaints department, nothing seems to shake these people's consciences. I'm almost defeated now. I really don't know what to do anymore. This has got to be my worst adult life experience since my unfair dismissal case from Media24.

The "contacting me back" promise has been as overused as much as the court application promise, so I won't hold my breath. I just need to know if I still stand a chance to take my previous employer to court after such a long wasted time, cause any further consultation meetings will not help if court procedures have been misinterpreted.
It has been more than a year and a half now of non progressive back and forth communication which I always have to initiate for some reason.

Cause the Bloemfontein office manager/supervisor, your complaints department and "Sifiso" have got all my contact details... And again, a whole one year and eight months later, countless consultations and court dates promises, two practitioners... no progress whatsoever.

18 May 2021, 07:56Five months after this complaint. I am still holding on to the words that "my case is considered top priority". This is what I have been told.
It seems everyone is ignoring the issue of time as it will now be exactly two years since I referred the matter to Legal Aid. I definitely do not feel like "top priority" at all.
I have been put on this waiting position for a very long time, every promise without action means absolutely nothing at this point. I am back here again asking for any intervention because this drag is affecting my chances of success.
