If you want months of zero assistance and only stress go to Legal aid Athlone. Went to apply to open a case in November 2025. Passed all of their tests by February 2026, the attorney at the time had written a letter of demand and claimed it would go to the sheriff, the end of March she decided to leave and the case was passed to Ms Mabele and wow, she was the most unresponsive and unhelpful. I had told them the defendant was a flight risk and she said she would send the letter of demand to the defendant. She had only sent it last week after months of following up on when it was being sent and no response. As to nobody’s surprise the defendant fled to America to avoid charges. Since November 2025 nothing had been actively done to help me. Pathetic service and ZERO justice. They will not respond to you or care about how it impacts their lives. Someone else had a case with small claims court and the close concluded before a letter of demand was even sent out on my side. PATHETIC AND DISGRACEFUL SERVICE. Truly a waste of taxpayers money when justice is never served and they truly don’t care how their delays impact you for life.
