Disappointed with service at Legal Aid SA Cape Town Office

My case has been pending since March 2021 because of Legal Aid lawyers that are never available for representing people in court. I went to court 3 times and my case kept getting postponed because the Legal Aid lawyer allocated for that court was never available to register my application for legal representation, on 4th time (three months later) he was there, he took down my details and said I would receive an sms to confirm if I'm approved for Legal Aid representation and he would call me for consultation before my next court date, which was due to be 23 November 2021, he never gave me his phone number. The 23rd of November approached and I never got a call, I decide to call the Legal Aid office in Cape Town and enquire, I was told that the lawyer would be in court on 23 November, I told them but we have not consulted what is he gonna present in court then I was told he was gonna ask for a postponement. I went to court on 23rd November, the lawyer did not pitch, luckily all court proceedings were postponed for 3rd December cause of a Covid case. I called the Legal Aid office again, but did not receive any help, was told that the lawyers knows about the postponement and would be in contact with me before the 3rd of December. Till this day I have not heard from him. I went to court on 3rd December and he was not there, the Judge postponed to 01 February 2022 again and advised me to personally go to the offices in Cape Town, I went the same day and I was told that 'my lawyer' was not in that day and he would be given a message and get back to me. It's now the 14th of Jan and I still have not heard from him. Just called them now and it the same story, 'the lawyer will get back to me'. I'm very disappointed with Legal Aid SA, I know its a free service but don't the clients matter anyway. It's been almost a year now and my case has not been concluded because Legal Aid not taking me seriously.
