Hotel stay + Rewards cashback = happy customer
I stayed at the Centurion hotel that participates in Lifestyle Rewards a few months ago. I had signed up for the programme ages ago because it was free, but I had never actually used it until this trip. When I booked, I logged into my Lifestyle Rewards account and noticed i got a decent discount on the rate, which was a nice surprise. The stay itself was comfortable and the staff were friendly, so no complaints there. The best part was the cashback. When I checked out, I earned rewards on the room and on the meals I charged to my bill. It wasn't a huge amount, but it added up to a few hundred Rands over the course of the stay. A couple of weeks later, I used those rewards at one of the Lifestyle Rewards retail partners in Sandton. I just gave my mobile number at the till and the discount came off without any hassle. Honestly, it worked exactly as it was supposed to. It is not life-changing, but for a free programme, it is a nice bonus if you are going to spend the money anyway. I would use it again.
