Sampada, shame on you for dropping the ball badly at Leeuenhof Country Estate

My wife and I visited Leeuenhof in October 2013, what an absolute amazing experience. So we decided to celebrate her birthday again on the 5th of October at Leeuenhof. What a total disaster. We stayed in the Mwezi suite which is supposed to be one of the best rooms available, not at all. The carpet is burnt, the jacuzzi was permanently full of leaves and sand and the doors are falling apart. On the evening of my wife's birthday we decided to have a meal at the restaurant. The waiter recommended the "picnic", which is supposed to be a nice big platter full of tasty finger foods. We only waited 15 minutes for it and we suspected everything came out of the freezer and was just warmed up in the microwave. And this for R500, with nothing to drink with it. The food was so bad we hardly ate anything, we brought it home and fed it to the dogs who also struggled to eat it because everything was rock hard and dry. But Monday's breakfast was the cherry on the top. My wife ordered an omelette and told the waiter it must be without peppers and onions. It came with a cup full of peppers inside, so I sent it back and said please no peppers. It came back half the size still with peppers in and we realised the chef just sc****d out most of the peppers and send it out again. So al in all a terrible experience and we will definitely not visit any of the Sampada lodges's establishments ever again
