FALSE FIVE STAR LODGE

Upon arrival at the Lodge on 24 March 2016, the first room offered to us (Prethorus) was dirty, dusty, damp, cushions were dirty, we could not breath, full of bugs. Towels and wash clothes were off white ..no more white. The two bedside lamps were in a terrible condition and wires were taped, this is suppose to be a family room charged at R2800 per night. We requested to be moved. New room seemed better on the offset just to find dirty carpets, bathroom carpets were full of dirty marks, towels the same off white. Dust were swept into corners. Upon contacting owner we were told to leave his lodge and we are not 5 star guest. I would like to know who does he qualify as 5 star guest? He promised to refund R11 200 the next morning, which was not done. Then he promised to do it on Wednesday 30 March 2016. Neadless to say we had to find a lodge at 22:00 at night with two traumatised kids and had to pay for our stay after the owner of Leaves Lodge could not clean his 5 star Lodge. Another family was at reception the same time with us with exactly the same complaint. The lady mentioned that she has been complaining since the morning and did not have the money to pay for another place
