Beware the Leatherman "Warranty"

I bought a Victorinox multi-tool 18 years ag and a Leatherman Wingman 5 years ago. Both in the same environment & used for the same function. The Victorinox is starting to show tiny patches of rust, the Leatherman is rotten with it. Took both to their respective reps. Got the Victorinox fixed in 7 days....the Leatherman? "Sorry sir, rust voids the warranty." Yet they couldn't show me where in the warranty certificate this is specified... Clearly Learherman stainless steel is not as good as they portray. @Leatherman: take a leaf from the book of a company that knows how to make quality tools & service customers. I told the Leatherman rep to put the tool where the sun don't shine, maybe that might help for rust! Victorinox for life...
