Poor Service

I went to the Leather Gallery store in Crescent at Umhlanga on Sunday 22 November 2020, met the sales guy Perfect and decided to buy two 3 seater recliner Cairo, I asked Perfect if the item may have been on a black Friday deal and he said it was not, l then asked if the price will remain at R17,100 each and he said it will not increase, I said to him that l will order the two units in December as l would be paying cash. I then called Perfect on 1 December to find out if there was stock available, Perfect informed me that the price had gone up and was selling at R19,500, this is a 14% increase on the R17,100, this l feel is unreasonable, l asked Perfect to check with his seniors on the price and he called back and said the price is fixed at R19,500. I have subsequently tried contacting Greg Parry on the head office number and left an urgent message as at yesterday 3 December, he has not called me back. I seriously question the service delivery of Leather Gallery and thus far do not have any faith in them as a business.

Good day Brian,  We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.  Our salespeople are not aware of when prices will change as often suppliers have to unexpectedly increase prices of raw materials due to uncontrolled external influences such as increases in transport and shipping costs. This was an unfortunate instance where our suppliers unexpectedly increased their prices which resulted in us having to adjust and increase our prices, as all businesses do.  Once again, we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused and we hope that you would consider us again for your next home furniture purchase and we are confident that your next experience with us will be a positive one Kind regards,Customer Care
