"From the start the sellers didn't declare that their bond with FNB was handed over for collection. The estate agent only became aware of this when the attorney advised/questioned him about it. The sellers also do not understand the term "Voetstoots" as they left the house in very bad condition. When questioned, the sellers referred to the above term and indicated that the agent should consult with the attorney and then they blocked the agent's number.
The agent then consulted with the attorney and showed the state of the property by means of photographs and advised that the buyer was very unhappy and wanted to cancel the sale. The attorney called a meeting on 11/03 @12:00. The attorney advised that the sellers were very rude towards her and she advised them that if the deal gets cancelled they would be the ones losing the most.
End result of meeting : Sale is going ahead. R5000 from sellers' excess will be kept back by attorney for repairs that will be arranged the agent and paid for by the attorney.
First repairs took place on 13 March. This involved the inside of the house (floors, walls, on top and inside cabinets etc) and garden was also cleaned from overgrowth and removal of garbage. Pictures taken.
A further team will attend to the property on 17 March to fix holes in ceiling & doors as well as paint touch ups, connecting of stove and replacement of two broken windows."
