Disappointing Stay at La Heritage

We booked La Heritage for a 2-night romantic getaway, but left after just one night. The website is completely misleading.

The room is narrow and uncomfortable, with no proper seating, no bedside tables, and a musty “cellar” smell. There’s no window that opens, so no fresh air at night. The kitchen may be equipped, but there’s no space to prepare meals, the tap is loose, no cloth to clean dishes and the tiny table and hard chairs make dining unpleasant.

The stoop offers no privacy as it doubles as a walkway for the adjoining unit. The hot tub sits exposed on a windy dam wall right next to the neighbors’ hot tub.

This is not a luxury or romantic escape as advertised. If you don’t mind lack of comfort or privacy, you might tolerate it. But if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, look elsewhere.

Thankfully, we had purchased our stay through Wikideals, so we didn’t feel financially cheated, but the experience was still disappointing.
