Not happy!!! - factory defect - no return or exchange

Hope you are well.
I purchased the 24cm risotto pot from your Hobart Grove store in Bryanstan this morning, but I am not happy with the quality of the pot received.
They are currently having a sale and I was excited to purchase a pot that I was eyeing for a long time.
At the store we were not allowed to open the boxes as they were factory sealed, we just had to buy it and bring it home.
When I got home and opened the box, I removed the bottom sticker as I wanted to use the pot, but I noticed there were small chips on the rim on the one side of the pot. These are clearly factory defects and they were just covered with the enamel. The rim should feel and look smooth, not have a such chips. I immediately contacted the Hobart Grove store, and nobody answered. I called both Sandton City and Eastgate and they advised that they cannot accept the return as it from the Hobart grove sale.
How is this fair to the consumer and our consumer rights? So if i get a pot that is not to my liking, am I not allowed to swop it for another unit that I am satisfied with.
I am a fan of the Le Creuset brand but I was really disappointed that this is the after sales service. Regardless of whether its a sale item or not, consumer rights should still be honoured.
I tried emailing customer care with pictures and raising my issue, but the emails just keep getting returned. The address on your website for retail is incorrect.
After this experience, I dont think I will be purchasing anymore Le Creuset items nor will I be referring people to the brand.
My faith in the brand has been restored.
I went to the Hobard Grove store , and they gladly assisted me with an exchange on the defective product.
I would like to place on record my gratitude to the store managers Patricia and Sibongile for their kindness and assistance in helping me to source the product I wanted. They were patient and I left the store extremely happy with my replacement pots. I even ended up buying another pot.
We need more managers like Patricia and Sibongile :)
I would also like to commend the on floor staff at Hobart Grove for executing the sale with such professionalism. They were ever ready to help customers with advice and pricing.
