Centurion Ford Workshop has no concerns for safety of client

See email below with details:

Morning Rene,

Please do come back to me, especially after Marilett requested me yesterday (when I was there to collect) to sign your disclaimer form which they had forgotten to give to me on the first collection which was not an ethical request on her part and put Lazardus’ intergrity in question. Should Lazardus’ have insisted I pay further if I did not receive this form?

Also:

I want feedback as I cannot understand why the person who logged my call (which was not Marilett) did not note that I had mentioned that the thermostat had given problems in the past before and had been replaced about three years ago and that it could then be giving problems again so how do I know that the thermostat was indeed ever checked? I could have saved costs as maybe the welsh plug never needed to be replaced if they had indeed checked the thermostat in the first place but unfortunately your foreman (who I spoke to in person) was not there last week and cannot confirm if this is the case. I also stated that the water level had been dropping of late and that morning it had dropped all at once but it got noted as “dropped once” which is incorrect. Should Lazardus’ have insisted I pay further after my information given was not captured correctly?

And what about the way I was spoken to (attacking and aggressive) by Marilett and Tony who only constantly repeated your Pressure Testing procedure and Disclaimer Form (which I had never received) and do not actually take the time to hear what I am trying to explain and understand the severity of my concerns as I could have seized the engine driving like that or had a fatal accident but this does not seem to be the concern of Lazardus as they are more worried if they are covered hence their Disclaimer Form and not if there was indeed a workshop error which is normal to happen in any company but then have the integrity and respect to the client’s safety to admit it. This Disclaimer Form which states they follow a systematic approach to ensure you have the cheapest repair necessary is not what happened in my case as I was left paying R 13 000.00 in total. Is there Pressure Testing Certificates showing results of before and after completion of work of repairs available for me to check and any other checklists?

So please do come back to me as I would like to understand how this is Customer Service
