After Service - Dont Care

We have been clients of Kia Centurion since around 2013, when my mother purchased her first Picanto. Subsequently over the years, a further 4 Picantos were purchased. My little car went for her service in the 8th February 2023, and I requested that my running day time lights be replaced. The one bulb had blown, and it was after all the original bulbs – they lasted 7 and half years. Service done, bulbs replaced, and 2 weeks later a bulb blows. Due to work commitments and traveling, I could only go past there today 8th March (Exactly one month later). I drove there, and I was told that basically I would need to pay for the bulb again, as the lights run all day and if I look at most Kia’s their one light is not working. So how is it my original lights lasted 7 and half years? I walked away FURIOUS, and I have walked away as an ex-Kia client, although I love my Kia and I will keep her for as long as I can. I paid an astronomical amount for the service, and way more for a little bulb than it costs at the spares shop, and yet they are bound to blow after 2 weeks? The after service “care” that I got today, was not acceptable. I will now go and buy the bulbs myself, and put them in myself, because I can. Requesting Kia to do it was convenient at the time, but this has proved that sometimes you should just do things yourself. My time was wasted, why could this not have been told to me over the phone? My time IS money.
