Lawyers for black people took clients money

Lawyers for black people is a law firm that is supposed to be helping with any legal issues that one faces but to my surprise it’s not doing that.

Sometime in May I had an issue at work and contacted them and spoke to one of the founders of the company.He then advised me to pay him R2 000 for him to start with the process for my case. When I sent the money it was on a Monday. Later on that week on Friday morning the lawyer asked me to borrow him R1 500 and that he would pay me back that money on the following Monday. I borrowed him the money because I didn’t want to do anything to jeopardise my case.

Today it’s the 10th of August 2024 and the lawyer hasn’t started with the process for my case and haven’t even received the money that he borrowed from me.

When I call the lawyer he has blocked my numbers so my calls are not going through and when I text on facebook he gives me an attitude and says he is still trying to get my money.

I’m not even sure if it’s allowed for lawyers to take clients money and not attend to the case and to even borrow money from clients. If anyone knows what steps to follow to lodge a complaint against a lawyer please advise.
