LAWTON'S AUTO SERVICE CENTRE *********** WORK

Right cv joint was repair by this workshop.

3 days later, the noise of a cv joint returned and I thought by myself that probably it will be the left one as the repair was on the right one.

I bought the new parts from Goldwagen and have it fitted by another service centre (just up in the road from Lawton's workshop). After replacing the left one as well, the noise and vibration on the steering wheel continued, I took the vehicle back and he confirmed that he can’t trace the fault and referred me to Brandkorp.

I went home(Paarl) and the vehicle noise and vibration got worse. I called Terrance from Dotz Workshop in Paarl to come check at home as I couldn’t drive further – it sounded as if the wheel will fall out.

He was there on the Friday afternoon, test drive and said he need to get the vehicle to the workshop to get it on the lift.

After inspection on the Saturday morning he phoned me to come and check where the noise was coming from. The right cv that Lawton's auto service centre repaired was placed wrong side in and also he took a see thru bag with parts from the cv that broke previously out. This caused that the shaft bend and the noise was from the “new” cv that was place inside out, he showed me that if I had to do one trip to Velddrif again I would have need to buy a new gearbox caused from the impact of the cv placed wrong side.

Dotz Workshop installed a new CV joint AGAIN and taken out the old parts from the first one that broke(Lawton's auto service centre invoice state “removed worn CV Joint” – that wasn’t done).

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO *********** WORK DONE!
