Lawaid offering useless service to clients under a false pretense

I was contacted by Lawaid on 11 May 2023. The sales consultants took down my details and completed the questionnaire with me. I still had some docs to send to them for approval of application. however I went today and attempted to make use of my Truworths account just to be told that I dont have any access to the credit available on my profile.

I immediately sent Lawaid an email when i returned home to request them cancelling this service. Reason being the consultant never made me aware that this process would inhibit me from making use of any credit going forward. Upon requesting cancellation, the lady whom I spoke with said that there would be a R5000 service fee..........

How can you be charged a service fee if no service have been provided? Also how can you go about offering a service to potential clients under a false prefix..... As stated I was never informed that should I go ahead using Lawaid service, i would forefit any future uses of existing credit?

This is completely unaccapteble, the cancellation of service request mail sent to Lawaid was also cc'd through to the NCR ombudsman for providing service under a false pretense.
