Debt review ****

What a ****ming Nightmare!! I was called by this company, not interested in their product. Unfortunately they are extremely good with word to falsely lead you into something that you do not agree on. This was a validated call so unfortunately Truecaller did not block it, I even checked their legitimacy online while I was on the phone with them. THEY PLACE YOU UNDER DEBT REVIEW WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT!!! They promised me this is not Debt review, but I am one of many South Africans paying too much interest on my credit accounts. Obviously this drew my attention, unfortunately. They said that they renegotiate with creditors to give you a lower interest rate on your home loan and credit card. They also claim that they work with the NCR(NATIONAL CREDIT regulator) ,which I actually confirmed with the NCR after they told me LAWAID can access their systems. I believed this story and agreed to send them my bank statement and I accepted a debit mandate which I thought was n credit check because they described it as something else, while I was on the phone with them. They also send you a link for your signiture for your permission to do credit check. Now I have a debit Mandate on my bank account, and it seems that they can go ahead and do as they please and place you under debt review. They do not answer any calls, or reply to any emails or cancellations requests. I received an email from them today asking for more documents to be completed, I again rep**** on the email that I am not interested. They also said my creditors WILL BE CANCELLED its all-ready been sent through.

I am in Contact with the NCR and my Bank on this matter and will file complaints if they go ahead. Now I am reading many reviews exactly like mine!! How is this even Legal? Its s ****!!
