# Review of LaVie at Langebaan Golf Estate

## Deposit Issues I paid the required R2,000 deposit upon booking, but retrieving it became problematic. The owners charged R500 for alleged stains on towels without convincing evidence. They claimed bleach-like stains on a hand towel were our fault despite our objections, then added charges for a "ruined" bath towel (R350) which they never even mentioned to us during our stay.

## Property Condition & Amenities - The jacuzzi wasn't operational on our first day, requiring multiple calls to report - Fridge shelves were broken in several places (not disclosed beforehand) - Only two dishwasher tablets provided for a 4-day stay with 10 guests - Limited toilet paper (only 2 rolls per bathroom) - Charged a cleaning fee yet instructed "not to leave the place untidy"

## Hidden Information Only after booking and paying our deposit did we receive the extensive terms and conditions. Important safety information about poisonous snakes in the yard and instructions to keep windows/doors closed was only shared upon arrival, severely limiting the children's ability to enjoy the outdoor space.

## Overall Experience What should have been a relaxing holiday felt restricted by numerous rules and unexpected charges. The lack of basic amenities and transparency, combined with unreasonable deposit deductions, made this a disappointing experience that I cannot recommend.
