Pool Re-surfacing

To those of you considering re-surfacing your pool - If approached by a company Lava Pools T/a Lava Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd. or Graeme MacDonald, I strongly suggest that you do not appoint with this company or person. <br> Through Graeme MacDonald I had my pool re-surfaced in September 2014 at a cost of R 18 000 excluding indirect costs. By February 2016 there appeared large cracks in the material that was used to re-surface. Large chunks of material 'separated' from the shell of the pool. The net consequence of this outcome was the need to re-surface yet again. When I contacted MacDonald to tell him about the problem he indicated to me that he will \come by on Thursday or Friday or Monday to assess the situation\". That was over a month ago. Other promises made to 'correct some of the finishes' on the pool were never followed up by MacDonald. Save yourself a lot of trouble by avoiding any engagement with this person or his company. The offer of a '10 year guarantee on the product' is laughable!<br> I had to spend a similar amount of money a second time to 'correct' the ******* product that MacDonald installed in my pool. "
