Poor Quality & Serve from LAVA Braais
I bought a LAVA braai from the JHB branch, and had it fitted when we built our new lapa. all the loose components were stored away in the garage and only the frame was used by the contractors to fit. after fitment, i added the covers etc, and thought I would wash of the dust with the garden hose. Well, no above average water pressure, and the paint came peeling off. I took photos and sent them to the dealer, she forwarded onto the Director and told me they would send the right paint from the factory etc and get the job done. Above this, i didn't get the bearing and grease pack to go with the wind vein on top, which would come with paint.
No over 3 weeks later and its excuse after excuse. Rather spend a little more and get proper value, the LAVA experience is my last and the story will be told when asked. You can never measure the reputational damage to a brand, lets hope this feeds back and they do something about their quality and service.
