Never buy a fireplace from Lava Fires
<p>We bought a 3-glass sided fireplace from Morne @ Lava Fires in Johannesburg around September 2015, with it paid for in December 2015. It was for a house we were building. We asked for it to be installed in April 2016. Neatly in August 2016, it has been a comedy of errors and we still don't have a functional fireplace.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has been problem after problem. The fire place was installed in the wrong place with the wrong ceiling plate and a scew chimney. Then a month later I finally manage to get them back to reinstall it and they still haven't got a cieling plate. Then the light a test fire in with wet wood and blacken all the glass. So I get them back to clean it and they scratch all the glass...</p> <p> </p> <p>Each step of the way has been painful, with very little follow up. I've even called head office in Cape Town several times, but I don't get any follow through from there either.</p> <p> </p> <p>Avoid avoid avoid. </p> <p> </p> <p>- Installed with the wrong plate at the ceiling (still not fixed end July)</p> <p> </p>
