notice period

hi michelle

please find attached pop for R1700 as that is all i could i afford. Unfortunately i am only going to receive money back from sars in august, so I am sadly going to have to give notice on swimming lessons for now. I think there is a month notice so is this enough time for end of may or first week of june? thanks

Hi Ian,

We do require a full calendar month's notice (1st-30th/31st) therefore June will be your notice month for lessons.

Ian de Vries ********** 11:57 AM (1 hour ago) to Laughing Hi michelle I sent mail on may 4, so four days lee way on notice i think is more than acceptable. I think 1 week actually a requirement of consumer protection act. I would say it is very reasonable to accept notice for end of May.

Hi Ian,

I keep very strictly to a full calendar month's (1st-30th/31st) notice period and will not defer from this.

This has a direct impact on our teachers and therefore is non negotiable.

The full calendar month's (1st-30th/31st) notice is very clearly stated in my initial communication with you as well as in our contract, which you signed. It is also stuck up on our window in the pool room where parents sit. You have no excuse for not being aware of our terms and conditions.

Kind regards

Ian de Vries ********** 1:23 PM (23 minutes ago) to Laughing Okay - I am aware it is a month, so I will do another month if you insist, but then I will put a negative review onto hello peter, google etc, that you could not accommodate 4 days, with all email exchanges for transparency, and will check consumer act for exact requirements, as you can not contract over the law, and of course you will lose my future business.

Up to you.

Laughing Waters 1:30 PM (16 minutes ago) to me You need to take cognizance of the fact that we as a business have done nothing with is wrong. It is you who is in the wrong. We have contract in place in order to protect all parties concerned.

Please note deformation of character is a legal offence.
