Laptop depot will just stress you out

I ordered and paid for a laptop on 5 January 2021 for R8500.

I received no communication from them for a few weeks. Their phone never answered. No matter what time I called. I sent emails and WhatsApp messages and if I was lucky, they would respond with a vague statement. Like ‘we are looking into this’.

On 26 Jan, after having no clarity on my order. I decided to cancel my order and requested a refund. I mean if they are not able to even send a delivery date after 3 weeks. Never answer their phones and rarely answer their other communication channels, how on earth are they going to help me if something Is wrong with the laptop.

I demanded a refund from them and contacted my bank as well as the payment provider. And with pressure from these companies I eventually managed to get my refund.

I would stay clear of laptop depot. Definitely the worst service I have experienced online. Their laptops are refurbished and this is not obvious from their website.

Rather buy from a reputable organization who can answer their phones and their emails timeously.

Dealing with laptop depot just gave me too much headaches and zero confidence in their ability to deliver what I ordered.
