Public have a right to know

The establishment was asked on their social media page about being licenced to operate a petting farm & whether they have permits to keep & exhibit wild animals. A response was received that they have a CAE Certificate but nothing else was provided. It was also queried what their procedures were to protect the public / animals from injury & zoontic diseases - no response. I was invited to pay to stay there & experience their facilities. That was not the point the public has a right to know that what they are paying to support is licenced, has been inspected by the relevant authorities, that the animals are properly care for, that the public / animals are safe. My messages were removed from their page. They exhibit farm & wild animals to the public and charge the public to view, pet and feed them. My query still stands - do they hold a licence to exhibit animals to the public & if so they are to please make it available to the public as is required by the relevant law. They may not operate without such a licence & if they do they run the risk of being heavily fined. Ethical tourism is the keyword of the day & their bad attitude to queries as to whether they are ethical & legal does not sit well with their potential clientele. Speaking to the owner in person does not inform or educate the general public who have a right to know what they are spending their hard earned money on.
