I was charged almost R13,000 for what I understood to be a basic service consisting of an oil change, oil filter, air filter and pollen filter replacement. My previous service on the same vehicle at another reputable workshop cost R2,800 for the equivalent work, so I was shocked by the difference. When I questioned the invoice, Natalie told me that the owner, Neville Frost, had instructed her not to give out his phone number to customers. She suggested that I email him instead. I did exactly that, but despite giving him the opportunity to explain the charges, I have received no response. As a customer, I believe I deserve an explanation for such a significant difference in cost and the courtesy of a response from the owner when raising a legitimate concern. I am posting this so that other Land Rover owners can make an informed decision. If anyone else has had a similar experience with Landy Centre Tokai, I'd be interested to hear about it. If Landy Centre or Mr Frost would like to explain the invoice or resolve this matter, I remain open to discussing it.
