Landstar Empty Promisses

After we rented through Landstar properties signed agreement and paid all monies due we were only handed a book of rules for the complex we rented and told that our pets are not allowed by the body corporate. I explained to Landstar that I rented because of the unit being pet friendly....they actually did try and sort it out with the body corporate but we're not successful and told us after only 2 months we had to move. We agreed to move providing no monies would be deducted from our deposit and that it would be paid out immediately after key hand over and the agent would have paid for the whole move. 50% of deposit was paid out to secure our new property and the other 50% excluding small water bill would have been done with key hand over. It was confirmed in outgoing inspection that the agent will cover the holes(which was neatly done by the way) where we hung our pictures and paint the small sections. As we did not plan to move after only 2 months. I did not want to hand over the key without having my deposit transfered on which I was threatened that I would not get my deposit if I did not hand over the key. I left the unit very neat and clean...even in a better state as we found it in. I have been emailing and asking for deposit since Sunday confirming all arrangements over and over again. And all I have been receiving is empty promises for the transfer....to date Landstar is still in possession of the balance of my deposit and promised to release it yesterday...but this has not been done. The agent who helped me was short on the money for the move so I paid the shortfall, asking that trf be done by Monday 1 November....but also no transfer from his side. I have done nothing to deserve this unfair treatment. I am out of pocket because of their lack of homework and assistance and I did confirm in all correspondence that I do not have the funds available to accommodate the move in such a short space of time and can not afford to pay a deposit again out of my pocket in not even 2 months. Which I ended up having to do with nothing but an empty promise for my deposit to be transfered. Landstar realy have absolute disregard for their tenants. What I thought was a great and proactive agency that I would love to have a long standing relationship with, ended up to be the absolute opposite.
