Landau Attorneys was contracted by a Morton and co to garnish funds from me after my medical aid didn't cover the whole bill for some x-rays done after an accident. The consultant phoned me and arranged a payment plan in order for us to move forward. The payment commenced and when I looked again, i was in credit by almost R600. I immediately and they promised to look into it and do a refund....On the 28th of May 2019, they requested a copy of my bank statement and iD , which apparently was needed to do a transfer. on the 10th of September 2019, they requested it again because apparently the previous copy of the statement wasn't clear. I rejected that request since I don't believe that my banking activity has any relevance to their payment. I've given them summaries of all my details and even signed it to accept responsibility for any mistakes in transfer details. Nothing has been done from their part and I'm sure that if it was the other way round, I would've been sued or blacklisted by now. It is now the 19th of November and still no luck with these "vultures". These people are pathetic and has no integrity. They bully poor people and I think its time they get reported with the legal ombudsman.
