To Whom It May Concern, I took my Range Rover Evoque to Land Rover for a service, which cost me R10,000. This was the 16,000 km service. After driving the vehicle for less than 5,000 km, I discovered that there was no oil in the engine. I approached the service manager, Peter, and informed him of the situation. He provided me with 3 litres of oil to put into the vehicle. However, the noise that I had previously reported was still present. After visiting Peter more than twice regarding the issue, I was informed that he had been dismissed. I was then referred to a new manager, Mark Alberts. He instructed me to bring the vehicle back to Land Rover so that they could perform a diagnostic assessment, which they did. After four days, I was informed that I could collect my vehicle. When I arrived, Mark Alberts was nowhere to be found. He was the person who had informed me that Peter had been dismissed because my vehicle was not the first vehicle to experience problems following a service carried out under his management. The department did not put the oil in the vehicle. After several weeks, I managed to get hold of Mark Alberts. He asked me to come to Land Rover, and when I arrived, he was waiting for me in the parking area. He informed me that the company's lawyers had instructed him not to speak to me. I asked him for a reason, but he was unable to provide one. I was later informed by one of his ****orkers that Mark Alberts was an Aftersales Manager and not a Service Manager, which I found very strange. I was also told that he had only joined Land Rover from Ford in the Vaal approximately two years earlier. Nobody ever got back to me regarding my vehicle, and the Land Rover Hendrik Potgieter dealership has since closed down. I now do not know what to do and would greatly appreciate your assistance. Yours faithfully, G. M. Human
