WRONG PATIENT DETAILS RECORDED BY LANCET.

I had a baby in Jan 2023 with full medical aid maternity benefits, bloods were done the day my baby was born.

Lancet originally processed this account under the wrong name/medical aid and I was only made aware of its existence in September 2022 via sms which was ALREADY 9 months passed the account date and therefor too late for submission to medical aid - from this date I chased religiously for a statement as to what this payment was for- since the statement I received AND PAID on Feb 2023 was only for R717.00- which made no sense!

Only to find out that the account was loaded on my fathers name- I then had to request account details to be changed, I was advised this was done on 17 March 2023 but that it could not be submitted directly to momentum as the claim was old- I requested an updated statement over and over after this which I only received 22 April 2023 and submitted- feedback from Momentum only received today 6 June 2023- claim rejected.

Lancet then resubmitted with a supporting letter- claim rejected. Lancet then has the AUDACITY to blame me and say I fill the wrong details in. , I can say with 100% confidence that I did not fill in ANY lab forms for these bloods done on my son. In fact, I did a Covid test on 11 January in preparation for my c section where I DID fill in the form and what a surprise! My details were correct and it went through MY medical aid! And every single claim for all doctors and hospital stay in relation to the same procedure? All went through MY medical aid! My blood works 1 month later? My medical aid!

Lancet CLEARLY doesn’t know how to do their own accounts and judging my ALL the reviews they just hand over to debt collectors when THEY are at fault.

I absolutely REFUSE to pay an account that should have been covered by medical aid due to THEIR negligence!
