Wife Billed for Test on Prostate Gland

My wife went in for a whole bunch of tests, which went off to Lancet. Discovery Health covered all the tests, except one that they flagged as (gender) incorrect on the Lancet billing sheet (IDS10 code - N41.8 or inflammation of the prostate gland).

Lancet are efficient in making it known via emails and sms that I am responsible for settling the bill, because Discovery Health has refused to do so. This week my wife phoned Lancet on two occasions but couldn't get them to budge. I took it up yesterday (Friday, 27 March 2015) and managed to persuade somebody in accounts that a prostate gland was gender specific to a male (despite his supervisor insisting otherwise). He said he would re-issue the statement with the correct IDS10 code for me to re-submit to Discovery. (I also engaged with Lancet Customer Services because, at the level of the telephone interface, their employees aren't empowered to see what the ICD10 codes stand for. They said they would look into it.) I was assured by both Accounts and Customer Services that all would be resolved. Yes!

Today my wife got an sms insisting that we settle the outstanding amount for the test on her (non-existent) prostate.
